The video performance Guilt explores the interwined histories of colonization and environmental degradation in Ngulmapu, the ancestral Mapuche territory. Mapuche communities went through a violent military campaign called “Pacification of Araucanía”. The artist uses her own body and poetic narration as a vessel of memory and resistance, drawing a direct line between cultural erasure and ecological destruction. Guilt becomes a gesture of mourning, making visible the ongoing scars left on the land and its people.
