Swiss artist Anna Anderegg uses choreography, video, and participatory methods to focus on how our bodies interact with their surroundings. Her practice moves between physical and digital spaces, and between personal and collective experience. Anderegg’s work invites heightened awareness of how we inhabit, perceive, and engage with the spaces around us.
Silver Boom is a performance project that began in 2021 with experienced women from around the world. At this Sea Art Festival, it was created with citizens of Busan. The work explores the intersections of urban environment, gender, and age, and celebrates the often overlooked histories and embodied wisdom of women.
In Busan, Silver Boom unfolded through workshops in 2 weeks, performances, and a video archive. The performances moved near Dadaepo Harbor Station, through alleys and along the beach, offering unexpected encounters with women’s bodies in public space. Their gestures, voices, and subtle actions challenged stereotypes of femininity and created space for women whose contributions have long been essential, yet rarely recognized.
The video extends this presence, recording women’s experiences from Korea and abroad. The work invites you to follow their gestures and words, and to feel their lives and embodied wisdom.
